Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon

  • First Saturdays 11 AM - Noon

  • Grades 2 - 8

  • No advanced registration necessary

  • Trading of cards can be done after noontime and outside the dueling room. The library is not responsible for the trades made between children.

Yu-Gi-Oh Dueling guidelines:

  • Plan to arrive 15 minutes before duel begins

  • Decks must have a minimum of 40 cards and a maximum of 100 cards.

  • Treat your fellow players with respect at all times.
  • Duels will follow the official traditional rules not the advanced rules
  • You are responsible for your own cards at all times.
  • Only American cards may be used in duels. (No Japanese or Egyptian God cards.)
  • Do not bring a duel disk launcher or a chaos disk launcher.
  • If you have it, bring a game mat and a calculator.

Pokemon Dueling guidelines:
  • Decks must have at least 60 cards.
  • Please bring markers and other materials necessary to track damages.

 

Dance, Dance Revolution (DDR)

  • First Saturdays 2-3:30 PM 

  • This is a FAMILY event. Anyone may participate as long as he or she knows the directions left, right, up, and down.

  • No advanced registration necessary.

  • Wear socks. 

  • Bring a water bottle. You may get thirsty.

DDR Tournament Guidelines:

  • October and November are qualifying months for the final competition in December

  • Contestants will be competing for one of 12 spots in three different categories: 

Individual
Friends--a two person team
Family--a two person team (bonus points awarded for cross-generational teams) 

  • Each month six spots will be awarded to the top scoring individuals or groups.

  • If an individual or team does not qualify in one month they can come back and tray the next month.

  • In December all qualifying individuals or teams must be present in order to compete and receive prizes.

  • Friends and relatives are encouraged to come and cheer on their favorite individuals and teams at all events.

  • Anyone can come and practice (play DDR without competing) any first Saturday DDR is going on.
