From the moment that Astrid Vasquez attends her first roller derby event, she’s bound and determined to be a “Roller Girl” like her newfound hero, Rainbow Bite.  To be a “Roller Girl” all Astrid needs to do is learn how to skate,  how to fall without hurting herself too much,  how to get home without a carpool, and how to be a good team mate.  Well that sounds easy enough for Astrid.
