Who is? Who was? We know!

The best series of books to answer some of your kids’ questions is here!
It’s the “Who was” biography series. In our library, it lives in the youth gold area. These books are terrific for elementary readers to get to know famous folks from history. My 9-year-old has gobbled up “Who was Walt Disney?” and “Who is Hillary Rodham Clinton?” in the past two weeks. All the covers are fun and contain caricatures of the subjects.
And a group of super readers at South Elementary that is working in partnership with Madison Public Library is using these biographies to learn about characters from history as diverse as the Three Stooges, Stan Lee and Nelson Mandela.
