Storytimes at Madison Public Library emphasize sharing developmentally appropriate books and combining those with music, movement, and other activities to help children develop a love of the library and reading. There are approximately three different sessions of storytimes throughout the year. Attendees sign up once for all the programs in a particular session. Weekly storytime sessions generally run August through December, January through May, and June through July. Sign ups occur in July, December, and May. During inclement weather, if the Madison Local Schools cancel classes, that day there will be no storytimes at the library.
